| For Steve: I had the exact same problem (actually before the update) but I fixed it using the following:
1. Open Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the Audio Output setting.
2. Change the Audio Output setting to 44100.0 Hz and 2ch-16bit,
3. Quit Audio MIDI Setup.
The update went fine for me.

| I installed the update, and I lost all sound besides the background noise in the levels, and the regular music on the menu. So in game, i can't hear other people shoot or me either. Anyone else have that problem. |

| i did a fresh install of my cod2 and it says it cant find the installation, i tried everything, putting updater in cod2 folder and such. nothing works. HELP ME OUT |
