This game is too buggy to enjoy. typical of a Microsoft product as well as of a Macsoft (especially of late) product. i wish I hadn't bought this game now.

WARNING #2 - The 10.3.4 update kinda broke Halo for me too. With the new Nvidia Vertex Shaders on and with everything jacked up, the game looks incredible - this update really changed the look for me. I'm on a G4 Dual 800 w/Geforce4 Ti card. But the new OS update broke the zoom function and the radar is goofed up. With the shaders off, or just using the Vertex shaders, the zoom works, but sometimes the radar is goofed. This sucks! I was so stoked about this update to. It was awsome until I installed 10.3.4.

WARNING - Last night I installed the new OSX update (10.3.4) and the scope zoom is busted again. It seems the "improved OpenGL technology and updated ATI and NVIDIA graphics drivers" undo some of the game's tweaking. So you might want to hold off on that if you are caught up in the game. With Halo 1.05 before the OS update, the graphic improvement was immense (D1GHz - NV4-Ti). The slower framerate is worth everything suddenly looking so lush.

Cloac devise makes my screen frezze, this update is no good

Well, I can't seem to get anything to zoom more than once. Which really kinda blows. Hitting the scope button works once, and then no button works.

Seriously depressed... I have a Ati Radeon 9000 card(32Mb) and i still can't use shaders... so my Models and guns look like a splotch of 1 color... so I am waiting for them to make a patch to at least let me try it and see if it does not lower the FPS like crazy.

MDD 1.25GHz x 2, 2GB, GeForce 4Ti, everything cranked, all effects on, 800x600, perfectly playable at single-player, framerates noticeably faster with the same settings in multiplayer. Reflective surfaces and detail textures add the mostest to this revision, no functional or visual difference between this card and the Radeon 9800--in other words, the update you've been waiting for. Oh, no problems with the camoflage either.

Graphicaly beautiful now, so much extra touches that make halo what it truly should be though. Awful performace hit tho, large scale battles crawl. 1.6g5

There's no two ways about it. Owing to the total system freeze when picking up camo, this update sucks! Even with the new eye candy disabled, there is a significant performance loss. This is a shame, since it's hard to go back once you've seen Halo's new look. Another patch is on order!

Very nice game but don't expect to be getting great fps with a machine under 1.25 Ghz, awful laggy. Overall still good but I'll take the xbox verison over the mac verison.
