Abraxas Assault
Everything is slightly blocky and geometric. There aren't many natural-looking things. A good example is the extensive cave system in which the assaulting team starts. The walls of the caves are very smooth and even, they look more like hallways than caves. Aside from the architecture though, which I really didn't notice too much while playing, this map is great!
The setting is truly beautiful, despite its blockiness. There is a fortress atop a plateau of sorts. All around it is a flat expanse broken by deep gorges. At the bottoms of these gorges are rivers. The assault team starts down there, and must wind their way through the rivers and caves until they locate one of the stairways up to the plain. They must then battle their way into the fortress, and up to the very top level. There they find a treasure chest, and the level ends. The layout is really interesting. With the winding caves, multiple stairways, and wide open plain - there are plenty of ways to get to the base. Once there though, thinbs become very linear. There's only one way to win, and the defensive team will be waiting for you.
