| I like this kind of game, but Mars Rising was not that good. Why? First, it is challenging, but very slow-paced - it lacks intensity.
I wonder if the developers had ever played any modern shooter - DoDonPachi, for example - because this game plays more like Xevious. It ignores all the evolution brought forth by developers like Cave, Toaplan, and Raizing.
And, the biggest problem: tapping the fire button sucks. This really makes my fingers hurt. It would be better to hold the damn thing to blast the enemies.
Good things about it? The levels looks crisp (albeit lifeless), the music is good (even though the sound effects blow), and it seems to be a solid, very well coded program. Good if you want old-skool fun, but I take more off MacMAME and some nice ROMs. |

| A wonderful game, full of action. One of the best Mac shareware games ever written. Great value. |

| This is my favorite game of all time.
The attention to detail is excellent, levels are extremely well thought through, and the replay value is unsurpassed. This game is really fun to play, yet always fresh. |
