Unlike a large number of the Quake 3: Arena mods released and in development, SpeedQuake was not created to fundamentally change the gameplay of Quake 3: Arena. In fact, at every available opportunity, FragBait tried to stay faithful to the awesome gameplay of the original, just with a little twist.
The twist is simple: You have haste, all the time, the haste items in the maps have been replaced with a new powerup, and you are highly rewarded for making full use of your new found speed.
