Sanctum
This map is big, plain and simple. Not only in playing area but in scale. The architecture dwarfs the players and makes for an excellent fragging environment, just make sure you invite plenty of friends to the massacre. How many? Well, no smaller than 5 or 6 in Sanctum. Despite the hugeness of the map, there are plenty of tight corners for sudden, in-your-face interaction with other players.
Texturing is consistent with the id gothic theme and decorative flourishes are used sparingly, but in good taste. The lighting is nicely done, with no places that are too dark or overly bright.
Weapons and ammo are sufficient, but nothing is packed too close in Sanctum, so you'll find you have to do a little traveling to stock up. Keep an eye out for dropdowns and jumpthroughs between columns that sport a quick replenishment of health. The quad and megahealth are both here as well.
