Aw, so close! It still looks like it's in beta testing...The bugs aren't fatal, but little things like text being cut off a bit, unpolished unit graphics, awkward menu flashes, and the like...Yes, the update does increase the speed. Before the upgrade, the game was painful! Now it's somewhat bearable. Massive Assault is more of a turn-based game, and very well could've been a contender, if it were more polished.

In short this is a poor chess-like version of C&C Generals. Even the menu screen is simillar. What really bugs me the most about this game, and many others, is that it has the potential to be really, really good. However it seems that they just haven't taken the extra step to make it so. The units on both sides are identical, a country can be invaded with 5 tanks, the list goes on and on. Having said that the game does have some good points which make it pretty fun, mainly the ability to have secret allies, and being able to flank the enemy. Overall it is an alright game that could have been good.

Excellent strategy game concept, but the port is absolutely terrible. Will VP fix all the problems and release a new demo? I hope so, but I doubt it. Warning: to date, the full version of this game has been very poorly supported by VP.

I couldn't find one thing I liked about this game. It's system requirements are absolute bull****, I have a 1 ghz G4 with 384 ram and this game chugs along like a snail. Not to mention that after turning one or two settings UP the water was no longer rendered properly. And as far as actual gameplay is concerned, it's much too slow to be any fun. Turn based games can be quite good, but really only on a larger scale. This gets incredibly tedious when large numbers of units are involved, and above all it doesn't seem to allow for realistic tactics. This game is trying to do too many things at once but fails. Get Rise of Nations instead.
