When you launch the application, it will start to download the game (about 2GB) -- so set it up to go overnight if you have a slow connection!
After the download is finished, though, you'll be able to play the game with the 30 retail key (email tschmidt@soe.sony.com for a free 30 day trial key).

An excellent game, very different from 'modern' day MMOs with an outstanding community. This runs well on my snow Macbook Pro and snow leopard, you need rosetta installed to make it work though. The download address Todd wrote is correct: http://eqmac.station.sony.com/
Tons of info on the game and how to get it working on http://EQMac.com

Don't bother.(4/17/2006 - version 1.0.4)
Don't bother with this crappy game, Get WoW instead. EQ is one of the worst games i've ever played, It's barely even been converted over to mac that well. Word is that SoE has gotten sick of updating it. Don't bother with it, people. It sucks.
