Braid 1.0
Explore the human condition and manipulate time in the lush, painterly world of Braid, a puzzle-platformer that takes you from a house in the city on a journey through a series of worlds to solve puzzles and rescue the princess. In each world, you have a different power to affect the way time behaves, including the ability to rewind, create parallel realities, and utilize time dilation. There is no filler in this game; every puzzle shows you something new and interesting about the game world.

| I rarely play jump 'n run games, but this one gripped me right away. I finished the demo in no time and had to buy the full game. Love it, too bad I finished it so quickly :) |

| Very imaginative twist on the platform genre. The time manipulation mechanism isn't just a way to reduce the frustration of replaying sections after making a mistake - although it does this very well - but rather it is absolutely integral to the gameplay and an excellent source of puzzles in its own right.
PS. The demo works flawlessly on this Intel-based Mac. |

| Demo works just fine, its slow to start up on older macs though. Try it on an Intel mac and it works great.
And this review isn't just to balance out Fishtichon, I just played through the demo, bought the game, and played through the game in a 4-5 hour sitting.
The game is short, but the artwork and the music make every minute of it enjoyable. The puzzles scale perfectly in difficulty. And the story, while quite complex, is one of the most interesting and thought provoking video game stories I have ever seen. Give it a try. |
