HaloMD was created in order to extend the life of Halo Demo and make mods more easily available. With the coming of Lion on July 20th, 2011, all PowerPC application support was removed from OS X. As a result, Halo Demo stopped functioning. This project fixes that problem. It will run on Lion as well and Mountain Lion and sports a multiplayer game lobby separate from the original Gamespy lobby. Download below and begin your Halo experience.
Halo Mini Demo is an upgrade from MacSoft's Halo Demo for PowerPC Mac. HaloMD is the premier community demo version of MacSoft's Universal Binary version of Halo Combat Evolved. All the newest Halo mods for Mac are available through HaloMD, and anyone who is still playing on the older Halo Demo should upgrade to HaloMD. If you are at all interested in playing Halo on your Mac, you should definitely get HaloMD. A version for Mac OS 10.4 may also be available by request through the MacGamingMods.com forum.
